As the festive season is upon us, it’s a time for reflection, gratitude, and giving. At Autoguide Equipment, ABC Anchors, and Auto-Roller, we’ve established a heartfelt tradition that embodies the spirit of the season: instead of sending Christmas cards, we donate to charities that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Each year, our team comes together to select the charities we support, ensuring that our contributions go to causes close to our hearts. One charity we donate to every year is the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). Their tireless work in saving lives at sea is something we deeply admire and are proud to support.
In addition to the RNLI, we have a tradition of selecting two additional charities each year.
Team members nominate their chosen charities, which are then placed in a hat (a sparkly one this year!). With a mix of excitement and anticipation, we draw two names, and those charities receive our support for the festive season.
For 2024, the charities selected are:
Stroke Association – A vital organisation dedicated to supporting those affected by strokes and funding research to prevent them.
Julia’s House – A remarkable children’s hospice that provides exceptional care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
We’re thrilled to contribute to these incredible organisations, and we hope our donations help them continue their important work. This tradition is a reminder of the true meaning of the season: giving back and making a difference in the lives of others.
